Gateway to Apshai - Commodore 64

Gateway to Apshai is a dungeon crawler RPG developed by The Connelley Group and released in 1983 for the Commodore 64. It is a prequel to the Temple of Apshai and part of the Dunjonquest series. The game combines real-time action with adventure elements, sending players on a quest to navigate increasingly difficult dungeons filled with monsters, traps, and treasure. Offering an expansive labyrinth of 8 dungeons with 16 levels each, the serpentine depths of Gateway to Apshai bear both riches and danger in equal measure. Its top-down perspective and rudimentary graphics were typical of the era but advanced for the genre.
