Prometheus, released in 2012, is a science fiction thriller directed by Ridley Scott, set in the same universe as the Alien franchise. It follows a team of explorers on a spaceship named Prometheus who discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a journey to a distant world, where they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race. The film is rated R for sci-fi violence including some intense images, and language.
