Ant-Man is a 2015 superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, it is the twelfth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Directed by Peyton Reed, the film stars Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man, who must help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, played by Michael Douglas, protect the secret of the Ant-Man technology, which allows its user to decrease in size but increase in strength, from various new threats. With a mix of humor, action, and unique visual effects, Ant-Man offers a lighter tone compared to other MCU entries. It is rated PG-13 for sequences of sci-fi action and violence.
