The Forest (2016) is a supernatural horror film directed by Jason Zada. Set in the Aokigahara Forest at the base of Mt. Fuji in Japan, it tells the story of Sara Price (Natalie Dormer) who ventures into the infamous suicide forest to find her missing twin sister. Unbeknownst to Sara, the forest is haunted by the angry and tormented souls of the dead. The movie navigates themes of supernatural forces and the psychological terror that Sara endures. The film is rated PG-13 for disturbing thematic content and images.
