Pokemon Platinum, released in 2009 for the Nintendo DS, is an updated version of the popular Pokemon Diamond and Pearl games. As an enhanced remake, it features the legendary Pokemon Giratina as its mascot and includes changes to the story, added features like the Distortion World, and improvements in gameplay. Set in the fictional region of Sinnoh, players take on the role of a young Pokemon trainer on a quest to defeat the Elite Four and become the Pokemon Champion, while also thwarting the plans of the evil Team Galactic.
